A local earthmoving company is seeking an Experienced Machine Operator to join our dynamic team in Goulburn, NSW. This is a full-time position offering an excellent opportunity to utilise your expertise in operating heavy plant & equipment within the construction and earthmoving sector. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of various machines and equipment on construction sites, contributing directly to the success of our projects and maintaining our reputation for quality workmanship and safety excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a range of heavy plant and equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with site-specific requirements and company procedures
• Perform daily pre-start inspections and maintenance checks on assigned equipment to ensure optimal working condition
• Communicate effectively with site supervisors, colleagues and other tradespeople to coordinate work activities and ensure seamless project delivery
• Operate equipment in varying terrain and weather conditions whilst maintaining productivity and safety standards
• Identify and report any equipment malfunctions, defects or hazards promptly to management
• Assist with the loading and unloading of materials as required and contribute to maintaining a clean and organised work site

What we're looking for

• Experience operating heavy machinery, plant & equipment in construction or earthmoving environments
• Current and valid operator licence or certification relevant to the equipment you will be operating
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively on busy construction sites
• Physical fitness and the ability to work in demanding outdoor conditions
• Reliability, punctuality and a professional attitude towards work
• Essential: White Card
• Desirable: Experience with GPS and/or Heavy Vehicle Drivers Licence (HC preferred)

Successful candidate will initially be appointed on a casual basis for a three monthprobationary period.
