Job summary

Sydney Carpentry Group is seeking an experienced Full-Time Estimator to join our team in Australia. The role involves preparing accurate project estimates and quotations, reading plans, and performing material take-offs and costings.

You will obtain supplier pricing, identify material and labour requirements, assist with budgeting and cost control, and liaise with suppliers, clients and the project team. A strong eye for detail and good teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous estimating experience, preferably in construction.
• Strong understanding of materials and construction methods.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Confident reading plans and completing manual take-offs.
• Good computer, communication and organisational skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate project estimates and quotations.
• Read and interpret plans and drawings.
• Complete material take-offs and costings.
• Prepare traditional/old-school material cut lists.
• Obtain supplier and subcontractor pricing.
• Identify material, labour and project requirements.
