Job summary

Project X Fitouts in Sydney is seeking an Experienced Estimator to join our office-based team. You will prepare accurate estimates for shopfitting and joinery projects, manage take-offs, and price materials and subcontractor costs to support tender submissions.

This full-time role requires reading drawings, attention to detail, and the ability to work with Project Managers to keep projects on budget and on schedule.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Fitouts and/or Joinery is highly desirable.
• Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Experience with quantity take-offs, estimating and tender pricing.
• Good knowledge of construction materials and subcontractor costs.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Reliable, motivated and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing construction, architectural and joinery drawings.
• Preparing quantity take-offs and detailed cost estimates.
• Pricing materials, labour and subcontractor costs.
• Obtaining and comparing supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Preparing project estimates and tender submissions.
• Assisting with variations, cost planning and project budgeting.
• Working closely with Project Managers and the wider team.
