The role involves analyzing drawings and specifications, coordinating with project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure costs are accurately assessed and commercially viable.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret architectural drawings, construction plans, specifications and tender documentation.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for labour, materials, plant, equipment and subcontractor requirements.
• Analyse project scope and identify cost implications, risks and variations.
• Obtain and assess quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare quantity take-offs and bills of quantities for construction projects.
• Develop pricing schedules and assist with the preparation of tenders and proposals.
• Compare supplier and subcontractor quotations and recommend suitable options.

Job Description

MISK CONSTRUCTION GROUP PTY LTD We are seeking a full-time Construction Estimator to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, reviewing project documentation, assessing labour and material requirements, and supporting the commercial delivery of building projects.

The Role:

As our Construction Estimator, you will be responsible for analysing construction drawings, specifications and project requirements to prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions. You will work closely with project managers, suppliers, subcontractors and other stakeholders to ensure project costs are accurately assessed and commercially viable.

Responsibilities:

• Review and interpret architectural drawings, construction plans, specifications and tender documentation.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for labour, materials, plant, equipment and subcontractor requirements.

Requirements/Skills Qualification:

• Relevant qualification
• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Previous experience preparing estimates and tenders for building or construction projects.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple site activities.
• Knowledge of construction costs, procurement processes and project budgeting.
