Job summary

Base Design & Construct is seeking a full-time estimator with hands-on construction knowledge to join our Woolloongabba office and support commercial and residential projects along the east coast. You'll move from concept to tender, producing accurate estimates and detailed quantity take-offs.

You'll build budgets, obtain subcontractor pricing, verify measurements on site when needed, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced design and construct environment.

If you've spent years on site as a carpenter or builder before moving into estimating, this is an opportunity to join a team that values your experience and knowledge and has a long secure pipeline of interesting commercial projects.

We are looking for a full time estimator who understands how things are constructed, as well as the numbers.

Base Design & Construct delivers commercial design and construct projects throughout the east coast of Australia for a loyal base of repeat clients. Because our work comes through long term relationships and referrals, you'll focus on producing quality estimates rather than constantly chasing tenders.

Working from our Woolloongabba office alongside our Managing Director, designers and construction team, you'll prepare estimates from concept through to tender, complete detailed quantity take offs, obtain subcontractor and supplier pricing, build project budgets and occasionally visit site to verify scope and measurements.

You might be a carpenter, builder or site supervisor who has moved into estimating, or an experienced estimator with a strong construction background. Experience across commercial construction or residential estimating experience will be valued. What matters most is practical building knowledge and the ability to produce accurate, commercially sound estimates in a fast paced design & construct environment.
