Job summary

Unifold has been operating for over 42 years, specialising in operable walls and door systems within the construction industry. We are seeking a Construction Estimator in Loganholme, QLD, to prepare detailed cost estimates and quotations, review drawings, and support the sales team and project delivery.

In this permanent full-time role you will liaise with clients, engineers, architects, owners and subcontractors, ensuring cost effectiveness and timely reporting while maintaining project

Qualifications

• Experience in preparing cost estimates for construction projects.
• Strong verbal and written communication with clients and teams.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specs, and building regulations.
• Organisational skills to coordinate with engineers, architects, owners and subcontractors.
• Experience with analysing cost drivers and preparing time, cost and labour estimates.
• Attention to detail and meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates and quotations.

This is a newly created position as part of the continued growth of our estimating team. The role involves preparing detailed cost estimates, supporting the sales team, and working closely with clients and internal staff to deliver accurate project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate cost estimates and quotations
• Review drawings, specifications, and project requirements
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams
• Support sales and project coordination
• Maintain documentation and job records
• Assessing cost effectiveness of products, projects or services, tracking actual cost relative to bids as project develops
• Setting up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

Requirements:

• Relevant experience in construction estimating
• Strong communication, consulting with clients and organisational skills
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, building plans, building regulations and codes of practice
• Relevant qualifications required
• Conferring with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates
• Calculating costs and estimating time scales
• Analysing blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost materials and labour estimates

Salary: $80,000-$90,000 per annum

Employment Type: Full-time position (38 hours per week)
