Job summary

Melrose Built Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Contract Administrator to support the Fitout and Refurb division in Australia. You will oversee procurement, contract administration, payment claims and cost reporting to help deliver works on contract and on budget.

You will report to the Project Manager and collaborate with the Team Leader, supporting each project from tender handover through to practical completion and final account.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Engineering or Construction Management
• First Aid and CPR certification
• Experience in commercial management of construction projects
• Ability to manage multiple contract types
• Procurement process experience for construction contracts
• Results-driven with a proactive safety culture

Responsibilities

• Running the full procurement process from scoping to award recommendations
• Administering head contracts and subcontracts with up-to-date records
• Tracking contractual notices and capturing cost and scope changes as they happen
• Preparing head-contract payment claims and assessing subcontracts
• Setting project budgets with the Project Manager and producing cost reports
• Raising procurement risks early and communicating with the team
• Managing practical completion, warranties and final account closing
• Building strong client and subcontractor relationships; mentoring juniors
• Adhering to Melrose HSEQ and quality systems on every project
