Job summary

Charterpac Contracting Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Contract Administrator to join our team on a contract basis. Based in Taree, NSW, you will manage contractual relationships, documentation, and compliance across project lifecycles.

You will prepare reports, track variations, assist in negotiations, and ensure timely delivery in alignment with AS4000 contracts and NSW building legislation. Strong communication and organisational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' experience in contract administration within the construction industry.
• Knowledge of AS4000 and principal contractor responsibilities.
• Understanding of NSW building and construction legislation.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• Experience with contract law principles.
• Diploma in Building and Construction or related is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Administer and manage all contractual documents from inception to completion.
• Monitor project timelines to ensure deadlines are met.
• Process invoices, payment claims, and variations per contract.
• Maintain comprehensive contract records and correspondence.
• Coordinate communication among stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Document variations, claims, and disputes with recommended actions.
• Ensure compliance with contract terms and legal requirements.
• Produce regular contract reports for stakeholders.
• Support negotiations and clarifications with external parties.
