As a Contract Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in managing project finances, compliance, and documentation from procurement through to completion within the Australian construction industry.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and manage construction contracts and subcontract agreements to ensure compliance with company procedures
- Prepare and assess progress claims, variations, purchase orders, invoices, and payment schedules
- Monitor project costs, budgets, and contractual obligations while identifying potential risks, delays, or cost issues early
- Act as a key point of contact, liaising effectively with builders, subcontractors, suppliers, and project managers
- Assist with procurement processes and subcontractor engagement
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date contract records, correspondence, and project documentation using Procore and Microsoft Excel
About you
- Proven experience as a Contract Administrator within the Australian construction industry
- A solid understanding of construction contracts, progress claims, variations, and subcontractor management
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and Outlook)
- Experience with Procore or similar construction-management systems is highly preferred
- Exceptional organizational and document-management skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for building strong stakeholder relationships
- A relevant qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Business, or a related field is preferred
