Job summary

Sharp and Carter is seeking a methodical compliance-focused professional in Melbourne to coordinate building compliance, subcontractor documentation and insurance requirements, while supporting project cost tracking, WIP reporting and month-end accruals. This hands-on role blends compliance administration, project coordination and financial oversight.

Qualifications

• Experience in compliance, contract administration or project coordination within construction or insurance.
• Strong understanding of building compliance requirements and regulatory standards.
• Financial oversight experience including WIP reporting and accruals.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with accuracy and timeliness.
• Proficient in Excel (lookups, pivots) and SharePoint for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor building insurance, permits, contracts and other docs across active projects.
• Maintain project trackers and support monthly WIP reporting and cost forecasts.
• Check safety docs (SWMS, inductions) and coordinate follow-ups from inspections.
• Manage subcontractor licensing, insurance records and renewals.
• Provide regular reporting to management and flag risks.
