Job summary

Hilton Cairns is seeking a Concierge to provide tailored information and advice for each guest, drawing on knowledge of Cairns and local attractions. You will offer reservation services, and oversee luggage, mail and taxi services, working in a rotating shift within a fast-paced environment.

As the welcoming face of the hotel, you will assist guests with enquiries, share tips on dining and events, stay informed about VIP movements and local tourism trends, and help with rostering and training

Qualifications

• Experience in a concierge or guest services role.
• Exceptional communication skills and a positive manner.
• Strong knowledge of Cairns local attractions and venues.
• Ability to work rotating shifts in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible availability to suit business needs.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming guests and partnering with the hotel team.
• Act as main point of contact for guests and assist with enquiries.
• Provide friendly advice on local attractions, restaurants and services.
• Maintain knowledge of local events and trends; network with local tourist organisations.
• Ensure awareness of VIP guest movements and hotel events.
• Oversee luggage, mail and taxi services for guests.
• Ensure valet parking is timely, seamless and careful.
• Assist with rostering, performance management and training for the Concierge department.

Responsible for being the welcoming face of Hilton Cairns, you will deliver exceptional hospitality experiences to every guest, every time! Specifically, this role will involve:

• Welcoming our guests and partnering collaboratively with the hotel team

• Act as a main point of contact for guests, and assist with all enquiries

• Provide friendly advice and information on local attractions, restaurants and services

• Maintain a sound knowledge of local events and industry trends, network with local tourist organsiations

• Ensure you are up to date with VIP guest movements and hotel special events

• Ensure our Valet Parking is an exceptional experience timely, seamless and careful

• Assist with rostering, performance management, development and training for the Concierge department
