Job summary

Stellar Recruitment AU and NZ – Brisbane QLD is seeking an experienced Health, Safety and Environment leader to oversee HSE across multiple sites. You will drive compliance, enhance systems and foster a proactive safety culture while supporting operational leaders.

You will manage ISO frameworks, lead audits, mentor HSE teams and report insights to senior leadership, with regular travel to operational sites from our Brisbane base.

Qualifications

• 4+ years' experience in a senior HSE position within construction, mining, industrial, manufacturing, logistics, infrastructure or related industry.
• Experience leading HSE functions across multiple sites or business units.
• Experience managing ISO management systems and accreditation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the ongoing development, implementation and continuous improvement of the HSE Management System.
• Ensure compliance with WHS legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Manage ISO management systems and accreditation frameworks.

About the Role

Reporting into senior leadership, you will be responsible for leading the Health, Safety and Environment function across multiple sites. You will play a key role in maintaining compliance, enhancing HSE systems, supporting operational teams and fostering a proactive safety culture throughout the business.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the ongoing development, implementation and continuous improvement of the HSE Management System.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant WHS legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Managing and maintaining ISO management systems and accreditation frameworks.
• Leading internal, external and regulatory audits, ensuring corrective actions are implemented and completed.
• Driving best practice HSE standards across operational environments
• Managing incident investigations, risk assessments and injury management processes.
• Building, mentoring and developing HSE personnel and operational leaders.
• Preparing HSE reports and providing insights to senior leadership.
• Promoting a practical, hands-on approach to safety that supports both operational performance and continuous improvement.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced HSE professional who combines strong technical knowledge with a practical and collaborative leadership style. You will be comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels and working closely with operational teams to achieve positive safety outcomes.

You Will Bring

• Tertiary qualifications in Health and Safety, Environmental Management or a related discipline.
