Job summary

Zenergy, a leading Australian industrial manufacturing organisation, seeks a Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) professional to drive safety across two Brisbane sites. Reporting to the HSE Manager for QLD, you will split time between sites to lead safety performance and foster a proactive safety culture.

Role emphasises stakeholder engagement, coaching staff at all levels, and incident investigations. Heavy manufacturing background ideal; project safety experience a bonus for the expansion site.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in a Health and Safety role in manufacturing/industrial environments.
• Tertiary qualifications in Workplace Health & Safety.
• Experience in risk management, incident investigations, safety systems, and audits.
• Exposure to machinery safety, traffic management or related risks.
• Excellent communication and ability to mentor staff at all levels.
• Based between two Brisbane sites, 5 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety across two Brisbane sites, managing day-to-day safety operations.
• Engage stakeholders and site staff to drive safety performance and safety culture.
• Coordinate with the HSE Manager for QLD and support project safety activities on expansion sites.

Role

Reporting to the HSE Manager for QLD, this role will see you leading safety across two sites in Brisbane, with time split evenly between the two. A large part of this role is stakeholder engagement, liaising with site staff to drive safety performance and nurturing an excellent safety culture. One of the sites has a large-scale expansion project underway so project safety experience would also be a bonus.

Requirements

• 3+ years’ experience in a Health and Safety role, within a manufacturing or complex industrial environment (essential)
• Tertiary qualifications in Workplace Health & Safety, required
• Experience managing risk, accident and incident investigations, safety system implementation and auditing
• Exposure to machinery safety, traffic management, transport-related risks or other critical risk management activities.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage, coach and mentor staff at all levels
• Flexibility to be based between two sites in Brisbane, 5 days a week
