Job description

Complex Psychosocial Behaviour Support Team

We Connect, Support and Stretch Every Team Member to Succeed

At Fina Australia, we believe great support workers are developed, not just hired. We build connection, capability and confidence through structured training, mentoring and ongoing development, giving every team member the opportunity to understand, use and apply the Elements of Support in the field.

Whether you bring experience in disability support or are beginning a meaningful new career, Fina provides a pathway to success through shared knowledge, practical skills, supportive teams.

At Fina, success is a shared responsibility. We connect people, build capability and stretch potential to achieve the best outcomes for our clients, our teams and every individual.

Guided by our values of Truth, Trust, Respect and Kindness, we create an environment where every team member feels connected, supported and valued, while being encouraged to stretch beyond their current capabilities, embrace development and contribute to an enhanced client experience.

  • See the person first – Before disability, diagnosis or behaviour, recognise the individual, their humanity and their fundamental needs.
  • Understand the need behind the behaviour – Look beyond what you see to understand what the person may be communicating or experiencing.
  • Build the foundations for success – Support nutrition, hydration, health, communication, safety, connection and the environment before expecting greater independence and participation.
  • Turn choice into meaningful choice – Create the conditions that allow people to genuinely exercise autonomy, choice, control and community participation.
  • Humanity comes first – Build genuine human connection, know the person and help create the foundations they need to live with dignity and realise their human rights.

What you can expect when you join our team:

  • Competitive Above-Award Salary – $72,800 per year plus Salary Packaging to maximise your take-home pay.
  • Permanent Part-Time Security – Guaranteed minimum of 56 hours per fortnight (7 x 8-hour shifts) with fair rotation across morning, afternoon and active night shifts.
  • Reserve Pool Flexibility – A great option if you can't commit to a permanent rotating roster but can provide availability to cover planned and unplanned leave.
  • Includes mornings, afternoons, active night shifts, sleepover shifts and weekends:
    • Morning: 6:00am – 2:00pm
    • Afternoon: 2:00pm – 10:00pm
    • Night: 10:00pm – 6:00am
  • Comprehensive Training & Development Program – Paid onboarding, practical mentoring and continuous learning to equip you with the knowledge, skills and confidence to succeed.
  • Growth-Focused Career Pathways – Continuous training, mentoring and performance-based opportunities to grow your skills, expand your responsibilities and advance your career.
  • Work-Life Balance – Six-week advance rosters and every second weekend off, giving you certainty to plan your personal commitments and enjoy the Sunshine Coast lifestyle.
  • Supportive Team Culture – Built on Truth, Trust and Respect, where your wellbeing, safety and professional development are a priority.

While experience in disability support, mental health, youth work, community services, aged care, nursing, corrections or emergency services is highly regarded, it isn't essential. We're looking for people who are compassionate, resilient, calm under pressure, willing to learn and committed to making a genuine difference.

No Experience? The Right Attitude Matters Most.

Critical non-negotiable documentations – you will be unable to progress without this:

  • Australian Drivers Licence
  • Blue & Yellow Card – you will need to obtain this prior to employment

If you bring the right attitude and share our values of Truth, Trust and Respect, we'll provide the comprehensive training, mentoring and ongoing support to help you build a rewarding long‑term career with Fina Australia.

Your application will include the following questions:

  • Do you hold unrestricted working rights in Australia
  • Do you have First aid and CPR ?
