Job summary

Charter Care Services (CCS) is recruiting highly experienced Complex Needs Disability Support Workers to assist participants in a structured SIL environment across Indooroopilly and Northside, with immediate start opportunities.

This role requires 3–5 years of disability experience in Australia, strong mental health capability, PBS plan knowledge, and a commitment to safe, person-centred care in both home and community settings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years experience in disability in Australia with complex behaviours/Mental health.
• Reporting incidents to PBS Practician (training provided).
• Fluent in English, with excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Blue Card, NDIS Worker Screening Check, First Aid & CPR, QLD Driver Licence and own transport.
• Medication competency (highly regarded)

Responsibilities

• Support participants with complex mental health presentations in home and community.
• Deliver person-centred care within a structured SIL environment.

Full job description

We are seeking a high number of highly experienced Female and Male Support Workers to support within a structured SIL environment.

This role is suited to professionals with strong mental health capability who can confidently support complex presentations while delivering consistent, person-centred care.

This is not an entry-level role. Only candidates with demonstrated experience in mental health and high-support environments will be considered.

The Environment

You will be supporting participants with:

• Complex mental health presentations (including schizophrenia and dementia)


• Ongoing support in both home and community settings

This is a structured environment requiring consistency, awareness and strong professional boundaries.

Non-Negotiable Experience & Capability

• Strong understanding of mental health presentations and behavioural responses


• Hands-on experience with personal care, (stoma, manual handling, hoist, catheter)


• Demonstrated ability to support participants safely in the community


• Fluent in English, with excellent communication and documentation skills


• Reliable, flexible, and compassionate
