Job summary

We Care Staffing Solutions is seeking dedicated and compassionate support workers or AINs to assist clients with complex care needs in rural and regional communities across NSW. The role involves in-home and community support, including personal care, daily living tasks, and medication assistance.

You will work with clients with trauma-informed care needs, mental health challenges, and development needs, following individualised plans and ensuring safety, respect, and inclusion in a home

About the Role:

We are seeking dedicated and passionate support workers or AIN's having experience in mental health and challenging behaviours to support our 24/7 clients and clients in the community.Experience supporting people with complex care, panic disorder, development trauma and PTSD, ADHD, epilepsy. This role involves supporting participants in their day-to-day living, helping them build independence and ensuring their well-being in a home environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide person-centred support in daily living activities (personal care, meal preparation, household tasks, medication assistance).

Encourage and support independence, skills development, and social/community participation.

Follow and implement individualised support and behaviour plans.

Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes.

Work collaboratively with participants, families, and other team members.

Ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment at all times.

About You:

Certificate III/IV in Disability, Community Services, or equivalent (desirable).

Previous experience supporting people with disability, particularly in SIL or mental health, or relevant industry.

Experienced and knowledgeable of trauma-informed and therapeutic care practices.

Knowledge of person-centred practices and NDIS guidelines.

Strong communication, compassion, and interpersonal skills.

Current First Aid/CPR, NDIS Worker Screening Check, and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).

Flexibility to work across a variety of shifts, including sleepovers, weekends, and public holidays.

A valid driver’s license (mandatory)

Due to the personal care needs of the clients, this role requires a female support worker in accordance with the Sex Discrimination Act 1984 (Cth), Section 30.

The ideal candidate must have strong and proven experience supporting high care and complex clients with mental health disabilities including providing overnight (sleepover) support as part of their regular duties.
