Job summary

Claro Disability Services is seeking compassionate support workers to help people with complex needs live more independent and confident lives. You’ll tailor supports to each client’s goals, collaborate with families and medical teams, and build meaningful relationships through flexible shifts.

You’ll assist with mobility, daily tasks, medical supports, social participation, and advocacy, while respecting culture and personal choices.

Qualifications

• A person-centered, warm, patient, and genuinely caring soul.
• Interest or experience in complex care, disability, and health nuances.
• Great communicator: listens well, reads cues, and adapts to different styles.
• Reliable and professional, with good notetaking and teamwork.
• Flexible and adaptable; comfortable with changing needs and shifts.

• Optional but nice: Manual handling, epilepsy management, or disability-support training.

Responsibilities

• Person-centered planning: Chat with the client (and family/advocates), get the know them and understanding of goals and routines.
• Complex physical care: Help with mobility, transfers, positioning, daily tasks, and devices (wheelchairs, aids, etc.) as outlined in the plan
• Medical supports: Watch for changes, follow med/clinical plans, and liaise with the care team if things shift.
• Social time and participation: Bring meaning, fun, and community access aligned with interests.
• Autonomy and advocacy: Support decision-making, respect consent, boost independence where possible.
• Cultural humility: Respect backgrounds, beliefs, and ways of being
