Job summary

Claro Disability Services is seeking compassionate care professionals to support people with complex needs in our Melbourne area. You will work closely with clients, families, and a clinical team to deliver person-centered plans that enhance independence and confidence.

Responsibilities include mobility support, daily tasks, medical liaison, and fostering meaningful social participation. We value flexibility, integrity, and respectful collaboration with diverse communities.

Qualifications

• A person-centered, warm, patient, and genuinely caring soul.
• Interest or experience in complex care, disability, and health nuances.
• Great communicator: listens well, reads cues, and adapts to different styles.
• Reliable and professional, with good notetaking and teamwork.
• Flexible and adaptable; comfortable with changing needs and shifts.
• Optional but nice: Manual handling, epilepsy management, or disability-support training.

Responsibilities

• Person-centered planning: chat with the client and family/advocates to understand goals and routines.
• Complex physical care: assist with mobility, transfers, positioning, daily tasks and devices.
• Medical supports: monitor changes, follow plans, liaise with care team.
• Social time and participation: provide meaning, fun, and community access aligned with interests.
• Autonomy and advocacy: support decision-making, respect consent, boost independence.
• Cultural humility: respect backgrounds, beliefs, and ways of being.
