Qualifications

• Person-centered, warm and genuinely caring
• Interest or experience in complex care, disability, and health nuances
• Great communicator: listens well, reads cues, adapts to styles
• Reliable and professional with good notetaking and teamwork
• Flexible and adaptable; comfortable with changing needs and shifts

• Optional but nice: Manual handling, epilepsy management, or disability-support training

Responsibilities

• Chat with the client (and family/advocates) to understand goals and routines
• Help with mobility, transfers, positioning, daily tasks and devices as outlined in the plan
• Watch for changes and liaise with the care team about med/clinical plans
• Provide social time and community access aligned with interests
• Support decision-making, respect consent, and Boost independence where possible
• Respect backgrounds, beliefs, and ways of being
