Job summary

Claro Disability Services is seeking a part‑time permanent support worker to assist clients with complex needs, mobility, daily tasks, and community participation. You will collaborate with families, medical professionals, and other staff to deliver person‑centred care and improve client independence.

We value empathy, adaptability, and strong teamwork. Paid induction and travel between client shifts are provided, along with opportunities to develop skills within a supportive clinical team.

Qualifications

• Person-centered planning with clients and families.
• Interest or experience in complex care and disability services.
• Good communication and note-taking to support care goals.

Responsibilities

• Person-centered planning: Chat with the client and family to understand goals and routines.
• Complex physical care: Help with mobility, transfers, positioning, daily tasks, and devices as outlined in the plan.
• Medical supports: Monitor changes, follow clinical plans, liaise with the care team.
• Social time and participation: Facilitate meaningful activity and community access.
• Autonomy and advocacy: Support decision-making and consent; promote independence.
• Cultural humility: Respect backgrounds, beliefs, and ways of being.
