Job summary

Guide Me Disability Centre is seeking a compassionate Residential Care Officer to provide high-quality care and daily living support to NDIS participants in a residential setting. You will assist with personal care, meals, routines, and community access while maintaining a safe, person-centred environment.

Ideal candidates have experience in residential care or disability services, strong communication skills, and current WWCC/NDIS checks.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in residential care, disability or community services.
• Strong communication skills and awareness of behaviour support.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, patient and committed to participant wellbeing.
• Current WWCC, NDIS Worker Screening Check, First Aid & CPR.
• Certificate III or IV in Disability or Community Services is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist participants with personal care, self-care and in-home support.
• Support daily living activities including meals, routines and household tasks.
• Facilitate community access and social participation for participants.
• Encourage skill-building to increase independence and achieve goals.
• Maintain a safe, respectful and structured environment.
• Complete documentation, incident reports and shift notes.
• Collaborate with the team to provide consistent, person-centred care.
