Job summary

Asayish Comfort Care in Sydney is seeking a Residential Care Officer to support participants in the community and Supported Independent Living Homes. You will help participants experience life and achieve goals through skill-building and social activities.

Shifts span a seven-day roster with flexible hours. We welcome applicants who are passionate about disability support and delivering holistic, person-centred care across services.

Qualifications

• Requires valid drivers license and ability to drive between locations.
• Must have First Aid/CPR certificate.
• National Police Check required for role.
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module – Quality, Safety & You is preferred.
• NDIS Worker Check (NDISWC) and Right to Work in Australia are required.

Responsibilities

• Identify challenges through client interviews and tailor support to individual needs.
• Monitor and report on client progress.
• Conduct assessments to identify client needs and determine required support.
• Coordinate with agencies to connect clients with resources.
• Facilitate transitions and maintain communication to support ongoing care.
• Develop and implement educational, training, and support programs.
• Prepare funding submissions and reports for government bodies.

We are looking for Residential Care Officer to work with our participants within the community and Supported Independent Living Homes. The successful applicants will work across a range of services. We are seeking people who have a genuine desire to support people with disabilities who have varied support needs across different services. You will be providing opportunities for our participants to experience life and achieve goals through learning new skills and participating in social and recreational activities. We have a wide range of shifts available across a seven-day roster, so shifts are flexible and so are we.

Key responsibilities

Identifying specific challenges through client interviews and tailoring support to meet individual needs.

Monitoring and reporting on client progress.

Conducting thorough assessments to identify the specific needs of each client.

Determining the type of additional support required to address their challenges effectively.

Collaborating with a network of agencies and organisations to ensure clients are connected to the most appropriate resources.

Facilitating seamless transitions and maintaining communication to support ongoing care.

Planning, developing, and implementing educational, training, and support programs tailored to client needs.

Preparing submissions for funding and resources, as well as reports for government bodies and other agencies.
