Job summary

Silverchain in Geelong is recruiting Home Care Workers to support older adults in their homes, helping with daily tasks and companionship. This casual role offers a pathway to permanent part-time work, with an award rate of $43.03 per hour plus Super and paid travel kilometres.

You'll visit clients in Geelong and surrounding suburbs to perform housekeeping, meal prep, laundry, and transport to activities, while fostering independent living.

Qualifications

• Interest in community care or aged care (3–6 months experience)
• Valid Australian driver's licence and own insured vehicle
• Strong desire to help older community members live independently

Responsibilities

• Provide general housekeeping, bed-making, cleaning, mopping and vacuuming
• Laundry: washing, folding and ironing
• Meal preparation and grocery shopping
• Provide social support and transport to lifestyle activities
• Support the family carer with breaks and respite
