Job summary

Silverchain is seeking a Home Care Worker to join our team in the Penrith area. You will help aged care clients maintain their independence at home, delivering essential domestic tasks and social support as part of a compassionate care team.

This casual role offers an award rate of 44.64 AUD per hour plus Super and paid kilometers, with a pathway to permanent part-time positions. Training, CPR and First Aid courses are provided, and an employee benefits program is available.

Qualifications

• Customer service mindset and willingness to help older adults.
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied day.
• Strong communication and relationship-building with clients and families.
• Comfort with driving and community-based care.
• Must have a valid Australian driver's licence and own insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide home help services to aged care clients in the home.
• Perform housekeeping, bed-making, cleaning, laundry, and meal prep.
• Provide social support and assist transport to activities.
• Support family carers by enabling breaks and respite.
• Follow care plans and report changes to your supervisor.
