Job summary

Silverchain is seeking a Home Care Worker in the Melton area to support aged clients at home. The role involves hands-on domestic tasks, meal prep, transport to activities and social support, with independence and strong people skills essential.

Casual positions with a view to permanent part-time, plus employee benefits and salary packaging. CPR/First Aid training is provided, and prior community care interest or experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Ability to build positive relationships with clients and families.
• Ability to work independently and solve day-to-day problems.
• Interest in community/aged care (3–6 months in a similar role).
• Driver's license and insured vehicle required.

Responsibilities

• General housekeeping, making beds, cleaning and laundry.
• Meal preparation and grocery shopping.
• Provide social support and transport to activities.
• Support the family carer by enabling breaks.
