Job summary

Silverchain is seeking a Home Care Worker in Melton and surrounding suburbs to help older community members stay independent at home. The role is casual, with a view to permanent part-time, and includes making homes safer and more comfortable through practical support.

You will provide housekeeping, meal prep, transport, and social support, while adhering to safety standards. A driver’s licence and own vehicle are required, with training opportunities available.

Qualifications

• A valid Australian Driver's Licence and insured, roadworthy vehicle.
• Interest in community or aged care with 3–6 months' experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Provide home help services such as housekeeping, cleaning, laundry, and meals.
• Offer social support and transport to lifestyle activities.
• Support carers by giving them breaks and enabling family members to take time for themselves.
