Job summary

St Basil's Homes NSW/ACT is seeking a Community Support Worker to help older Australians stay independent and safe in their own homes across Sydney’s metropolitan suburbs. You will assist with personal care, domestic tasks, social support and community access, while working under supervision from our Home Care team.

Roles are flexible casual with potential permanent opportunities after 6 months, with Monday–Friday shifts from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm and benefits including salary packaging and travel

Qualifications

• CertificateIII in Individual Support, Aged Care, Community Services or related qualification (or willingness to obtain)
• Current Australian Driver Licence
• Insured and registered motor vehicle
• Willingness to transport clients if required
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• Experience in Home Care, Community Services, Aged Care or Disability Support
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to provide high-quality personal care and customer service
• Compassion and empathy
• Ability to work independently with team communication
• Greek-speaking skills highly regarded but not essential
• Australian work rights

Join our dedicated Home and Community Services team at StBasil's Homes NSW/ACT, where you'll support older Australians to remainindependent and continue living safely and comfortably in their own homes.Working across Sydney's metropolitan suburbs, you'll be part of a supportiveand caring environment that values compassion, respect and person-centred care.

We are currently seeking Community Support Workers withavailability Monday to Friday between 7:00am and 5:00pm.

About the Role

As a Community Support Worker, you will play an importantrole in supporting the health, wellbeing and independence of our clientsthrough the delivery of high-quality home and community care services.

Working independently while supported by our experiencedHome Care team, you will assist clients with personal care, domesticassistance, social support and community access. You will help clients maintaintheir independence, remain connected to their community and enjoy an enhancedquality of life while continuing to live in their own homes.

Our Community Support Workers are employed under the StBasil's NSW/ACT Enterprise Agreement 2024, earning up to $37.22 per hour.

About You

You are passionate about supporting older people to liveindependently and understand the importance of delivering care that isrespectful, compassionate and person-centred.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• CertificateIII in Individual Support, Aged Care, Community Services or a relatedqualification (or willingness to obtain through our traineeship program)
• CurrentAustralian Driver Licence
• Insuredand registered motor vehicle
• Willingnessto transport clients if required
• CurrentFirst Aid and CPR certification
• Experienceworking in Home Care, Community Services, Aged Care or Disability Support
• Strongverbal and written communication skills
