Job summary

Hall & Prior Health & Aged Care Group is a family-owned provider delivering in-home support and residential care across NSW. We are seeking compassionate casual carers to support the elderly in their homes, with potential progression to part-time hours as the service grows.

You will travel to clients in the St George and Sutherland areas, build rapport with clients and families, and assist with daily activities while maintaining high standards of care and documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience providing care to the elderly in the community.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable car available for travel to clients’ homes.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check and flu vaccination, or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home personal care and support to elderly clients.
• Assist with outings, meals, light housekeeping and daily tasks.
• Complete progress notes accurately reflecting client care.
• Develop positive relationships and communicate effectively with clients and families.

The exciting opportunity

• Casual role with potential for permanent part-time hours as the service continues to grow
• Day shifts available on weekdays and weekends
• Travel to elderly clients who still live at home in the St George and Sutherland areas
• Develop positive relationships and deliver excellent customer service
• Assist with day-to-day activities such as outings, personal care, meal and domestic assistance
• Complete comprehensive progress notes that accurately reflect client’s care

About you

• Experienced as a Support Worker, providing care to the elderly in the community
• Motivated, compassionate, confident working autonomously, excellent communication skills, and able to develop rapport with clients and their families
• Valid overseas or unrestricted Australian driver's licence, a reliable car and willing to drive to people’s homes in the community to provide support and care
• NDIS Worker Screening Check and flu vaccination, or willing to obtain
• Working rights in Australia (sponsorship will not be offered)
