Job summary

St Basil’s Homes NSW/ACT is seeking a Registered Nurse to lead our care team in delivering safe, compassionate, and patient-centered aged care. You will ensure residents receive high-quality care, involve them in health decisions, and maintain thorough documentation. AHPRA registration and 12 months in aged care are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• Current Registration with AHPRA.
• Minimum 12 months experience as a Registered Nurse in an aged care setting.
• Excellent clinical knowledge.
• Experience coordinating services and supervising staff; in-charge experience.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently.
• Three doses of COVID-19 vaccination.
• Have full rights to work, no restrictions.
• Current First Aid & CPR.

About the role

As a Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive resident experience and lead our care team to deliver safe and effective both consumer choice and clinical care to our residents.

Collaborating closely with our care team, this position entails ensuring that our residents receive the care they need with dignity, respect and involving them in all decisions about their health. Responsibilities include ensuring safe and high-quality care aligned with Aged Care Quality Standards, thorough documentation, and promoting a team-oriented environment.

You have a passion for enhancing the lives of older people and an understanding the needs of people living with dementia. To succeed in this role, you will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing
• Current Registration with AHPRA
• Minimum 12 months experience as a Registered Nurse in an aged care setting
• Excellent clinical knowledge
• Experience and ability to coordinate services, supervise staff as well incharge experience
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team, as well as the confidence to workindependently
