Job summary

Nillumbik Shire Council is seeking a Community Safety Officer - Local Laws in Greensborough. This role educates residents, investigates compliance matters and enforces state and local government regulations to maintain community safety and order.

You will work within the Community Safety and Resilience Department, applying Council policies and ensuring effective delivery of local laws and related activities. Internal applicants only apply.

Qualifications

• Practical knowledge of local laws and related regulations.
• Ability to apply policies and precedents to enforcement.
• Strong communication and public engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Educate, investigate and enforce State and Local Government local laws.
• Deliver a customer-focused, education-first approach to compliance.
• Manage Local Laws, Domestic Animal Management, Parking and traffic, School Crossing supervision, Litter management and Graffiti reduction.
