Job summary

Frankston City Council is seeking three Community Laws Officers to support the Community Safety and Compliance department. Roles involve enforcing local laws, handling animal control duties and supervising school crossings to protect children and the public.

Ideal candidates will have regulatory enforcement experience, strong conflict resolution skills, and a Certificate IV in Animal Control and Regulation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in regulatory enforcement or similar role.
• Excellent conflict resolution skills.
• Hold a minimum Certificate IV in Animal Control and Regulation or other relevant qualification.

Responsibilities

• Investigate enquiries, complaints and promote compliance enforcing the requirements of relevant legislation and regulations.
• Customer service skills responding to enquiries, complaints, appeals and general correspondence from internal and external stakeholders.
• Animal handling skills, the collection of animals and investigation of dog attacks; and
• School crossing supervisor, provide supervision and ensure safety of children and the general public in accordance with council regulations and relevant legislation.
