Job summary

The City of Port Adelaide Enfield seeks a Community Safety Officer to work directly with residents, businesses, and visitors to create a safer, cleaner, and more connected city. You may investigate complaints, educate residents on responsible pet ownership, and assist with parking compliance while resolving neighbourhood issues before they escalate.

This full-time permanent role involves shifts on a 7-day rotating roster and a current salary of $94,525 per annum plus superannuation.

• Promoting community safety through education, engagement and enforcement.
• Investigating a broad range of community safety and regulatory matters.
• Responding to customer requests and resolving issues with professionalism and empathy.
• Supporting responsible pet ownership and enforcing animal management legislation.
• Managing matters relating to parking compliance, nuisance complaints, littering and abandoned vehicles.
• Conducting investigations, collecting evidence and preparing reports.
• Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve positive community outcomes.
• Representing Council professionally while exercising sound judgement and decision-making.
