Job summary

Frankston City Council's Community Safety and Compliance department is seeking 3 Community Laws Officers to help enforce regulations and promote compliance. You will investigate enquiries, handle animal control duties, assist with school crossing supervision, and respond to customer enquiries from internal and external stakeholders.

Candidates should have regulatory enforcement experience and a Certificate IV in Animal Control and Regulation, with Band 5 remuneration plus superannuation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in regulatory enforcement or a similar role.
• Excellent conflict resolution skills.
• Hold a minimum Certificate IV in Animal Control and Regulation or relevant qualification.
• Experience applying Local Laws and Victorian legislation.

Responsibilities

• Investigate enquiries, complaints and promote compliance with legislation and regulations.
• Provide customer service responding to enquiries and general correspondence.
• Handle animal control duties and investigate dog attacks.
• School crossing supervision to ensure safety of children and the general public.
