Job summary

Mission Australia is seeking a Community Development Officer in Camperdown, NSW 2050. This permanent part-time role (3 days per week) focuses on building relationships with community groups, coordinating events, gathering feedback, and promoting programs to address local needs.

You will work with stakeholders to deliver projects, collect data to measure outcomes, and provide administrative support to ensure program delivery. Strong communication and organisational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in community service or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience working with vulnerable communities, families and children.
• Ability to build relationships with stakeholders across sectors.
• Experience planning and delivering community events.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational, reporting and admin skills, including data collection.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners and stakeholders.
• Plan, coordinate and deliver community engagement activities and events.
• Conduct community consultations and gather feedback.
• Support development and implementation of community projects.
• Develop and distribute communications about programs.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies.
• Collect, monitor and report on program data and outcomes.
• Participate in interagency meetings and provide administrative support.
