Job summary

Community Housing Limited is seeking a motivated Community Development Officer to join our team in Prospect, SA on a 2-year fixed term, part-time basis (30 hours per week). The role supports tenant wellbeing and strengthens communities across South Australia, working with tenants, communities, and stakeholders to create safe, inclusive and connected places.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years in a similar role, qualifications in Community Development or related field, and strong

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role
• Qualification in Community Development, Social Sciences or related discipline
• Experience engaging community groups to inform and deliver development activities
• Experience working with diverse communities including First Nations peoples

Responsibilities

• Engage closely with diverse communities and co-design initiatives with tenants and stakeholders
• Manage community development projects from planning to evaluation
• Prepare proposals, grant applications and reports and promote our Community Development Framework
• Establish and maintain partnerships with government agencies and community organisations
• Monitor and report on community outcomes and social impact
• Support effective communication across CHL about initiatives and outcomes
• Maintain strong administration and coordination in project delivery
