About the Role
Are you an experienced Electronic Security Specialist, Systems Engineer, or Senior Field Technician looking for a high-impact, onsite technical role?
We are seeking a proactive Engineer to embed within one of Australia's largest enterprise organizations. In this key role, you will take ownership of the incident queue, managing complex issues through to resolution while supporting critical security services.
You’ll combine deep technical troubleshooting with strategic collaboration-supporting field engineers, assisting pre-sales on critical infrastructure solutions, and visiting sites directly when remote resolution isn't enough.
Key Responsibilities
- Incident & Service Management: Proactively manage and prioritize customer- and system-logged alerts across Alarm, Access Control, and CCTV systems. Provide occasional after-hours support to guarantee continuous service availability.
- Complex Troubleshooting: Diagnose hardware, software, and operational faults. Coordinate with and support field engineers during site installations, commissioning, and technical escalations.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration: Act as the technical single-point-of-contact for internal teams (Project Managers, Sales, Delivery) and enterprise customer stakeholders.
- Pre-Sales & Scoping Support: Assist the critical infrastructure sales team with technical scoping, feasibility checks, solution design, and accurate costing input.
- Documentation & Continuous Improvement: Maintain exact configuration guides, system topologies, and change logs. Test and integrate emerging security technologies to drive system reliability and automation.
- Mentorship & Onboarding: Help train, onboard, and mentor junior technical staff on best practices, internal systems and safety procedures.
About You
- Proven Experience:
- 3-5+ years in a technical electronic security engineering
- 5+ years as a Senior Field Security Technician / Engineer.
- Technical Mastery: In-depth troubleshooting and system integration experience across enterprise Alarm, Access Control, and CCTV environments.
- Licenses & Clearances: Valid Security License is mandatory (ability to obtain enterprise-level security clearances required).
- Communication & Stakeholder Management: Outstanding interpersonal skills with the confidence to influence cross-functional teams and represent the business on-site with major enterprise clients.
- Analytical Mindset: Excellent root-cause problem-solving ability, meticulous documentation habits, and familiarity with project management practices.
