Job summary

Australis Security is seeking experienced Electronic Security Field Technicians to join our Port Melbourne team. The role involves onsite servicing and installation of Access Control, CCTV, Intercom, and other IT-based security systems, with a focus on fault-finding, documentation, and customer support.

Ideal candidates will have strong communication, teamwork, and multi-tasking skills, and be able to work on a roster including on-call duties.

Electronic Security Field Technician – Experienced

Australis Security is seeking capable, talented and ambitious members to join our highly motivated and growing Security Technology team located in Port Melbourne.

These positions would suit both experienced installation and service technician’s and motivated candidates looking to develop Security Technology and IT skills providing valuable services for our customers. This is an outstanding opportunity for candidates to join a reputable and fast-growing organisation.

Candidates need to have good communication skills, strong fault-finding skills and a natural ability to work in teams. Potential candidates should easily adapt to changing schedules and be able to manage multiple tasks.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Security Technology

• Carry out onsite servicing and installation of Access Control, CCTV, Intercom and other IT based Security Systems
• Ensure service and general preventative maintenance jobs allocated are completed on time and to high quality standards
• Carry out cabling works in-line with standards and complete associated documentation as required
• Provide client with phone support and remote programming/fault investigation of system where required
• Carry out on call duties as per rostered on call schedule

Customer Care

• Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer needs facilitating the resolution of customer needs, issues and complaints
• Provide sufficient information to Account Relationship Managers for the development of proposals and quotations

Job Management

• Update Job Management System on site specific information relating to systems and customers
• Write up full reports for each attendance detailing works completed onsite including any follow up required for rescheduling

Candidates must

• hold a valid Australian Driver Licence
• hold a Private Security Individual Registration (Preferable)
• hold a Victorian Construction Induction Card (Preferable)
