Job summary

The Star Sydney, Commissary Kitchen, is seeking a Chef de Cuisine who will lead a team of exceptional chefs across the Sydney property. Reporting to the Executive Sous Chef, you will bring out the best in your team daily and support across venues.

You will manage staffing, contribute to menus and pricing, and train staff to deliver outstanding dining experiences for guests and colleagues alike.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Chef or Head Chef with relevant industry qualifications.
• Experience managing a lively and fast-paced kitchen team.
• Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery required.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of team management.
• Participate in menu preparation and pricing policies.
• Develop training plans and conduct on-the-job training sessions.
• Ensure open communication between the team, management and guests.
