Job summary

Accor Devonport invites applications for a skilled cook to join our signature restaurant team. The role involves preparing and cooking dishes across all service periods and assisting in managing a designated section during service.

Candidates should hold a trade qualification in Commercial Cookery (or be currently undertaking). Experience in a hotel or commercial kitchen, plus strong hygiene and time-management skills, are essential for this role at this waterfront Devonport property.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a hotel or commercial kitchen environment.
• Solid understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work independently within a section during service.
• Strong time management and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook dishes across all service periods, including functions and events
• Set up and run a designated section during service
• Ensure all mise en place is prepared and service ready
• Maintain consistent food quality, presentation and portion control
• Monitor stock levels and ensure proper storage and rotation
• Work closely with senior chefs to deliver a smooth, high-quality service
