Job summary

Barwon Heads Golf Club is seeking a Commis Chef to join our kitchen team and help prepare fresh, seasonal dishes across clubhouse dining, functions and events. Working under the Head Chef, you will contribute to high-quality service in a professional, supportive environment.

Availability across weekdays, weekends and public holidays is required, and you should bring at least one year in a commercial kitchen, plus a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or be close to completion.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in a commercial kitchen.
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or currently studying.
• Solid knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Proactive, reliable and professional work ethic.
• Ability to stay calm in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and assist with meal service.
• Maintain clean, safe kitchen environment.
• Assist with deliveries, stock rotation and food safety documentation.
• Contribute to a calm, efficient kitchen culture.
• Support consistent food presentation and service.
