Pacific Harbour Golf & Country Club is seeking a Full Time Commis Chef to join our kitchen at Banksia Beach, QLD. You will support the Sous and Head Chef in daily operations, maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
We value reliability, teamwork and attention to detail, with a flexible 7-day roster including Friday and Saturday nights to meet guest demand.
Qualifications
- 2 years' experience in a high-volume establishment as a Chef.
- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery.
- Working knowledge of food safety and WH&S principles.
- Be a reliable team member and have great attention to detail.
- Must be available to work a flexible 7 day roster, including Friday and Saturday night dining.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Sous Chef / Head Chef in the daily operations of the kitchen.
- Prepare, cook and present high quality dishes.
- Prepare and store food ensuring stock rotation and control.
- Ensure overall cleanliness and presentation of the kitchen.
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene and workplace health and safety practices.
- Care and maintenance of kitchen and equipment.
- Monitor portion and waste control.
- Train and/or supervise other kitchen staff.
- Assist Sous Chef / Head Chef with menu planning, weekly tasks, stocktake and maintaining department budget, where required.
