Job summary

Delaware North Australia is hiring casual Commis Chefs to join our fast-paced kitchen team at Adelaide Airport. You will work alongside experienced senior chefs, assist in preparing high-quality dishes in a high-volume setting, and follow recipes, presentation standards and food safety guidelines.

This role offers hands-on development in an airport environment with opportunities to grow within our global company across resorts, airports and stadiums worldwide.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Commis Chef
• Minimum Level 3 Certificate in Commercial Cookery
• Solid background in kitchen operations
• A passion for food and creative flair
• Demonstrated track record meeting financial targets for food and labor costs
• Ability to work a 7‑day rotating roster

Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of dishes in a high-volume production setting
• Follow recipes for menu preparation, ensuring adherence to cooking guidelines and standards
• Execute food preparation tasks with a focus on presentation
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area
• Conduct temperature and quality checks, manage cross-contamination to ensure WHS compliance
