Job summary

Delaware North Australia is hiring casual Commis Chefs to join our on-site team at the Adelaide Airport. You will collaborate with senior chefs to create dishes that impress guests in a fast-paced kitchen.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Commis Chef is required (casual)
• Experience in an a’la carte restaurant or function service is preferred
• Level 3 Certificate in Commercial Cookery and a Food Safety certificate, or willingness to obtain at onboarding
• Passion for food and creative flair
• Demonstrated track record meeting financial targets for food and labor costs

Responsibilities

• Prepare a range of dishes in a high-volume production setting
• Follow recipes for menu preparation, ensuring adherence to cooking guidelines and standards
• Execute food preparation tasks, showcasing expertise in food presentation
• Maintain consistent cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area
• Ensure HACCP and WHS compliance, including temperature and quality checks and cross-contamination control
