Job summary

Pan Pacific Group's Dock 37 team in Melbourne is seeking a part-time Commis Chef to join a fast-paced, four- or five-star hotel kitchen. You will assist with preparation and production to the required standard while ensuring accuracy for special requests and allergies.

Ideal candidates hold a Certificate III in Cookery (or equivalent) with HACCP and local Food Safety Handling & Hygiene, plus experience in high-end hotel kitchens.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Cookery or equivalent, HACCP and local Food Safety Handling & Hygiene.
• Experience as Commis Chef or Apprentice in a four/five star hotel or similar kitchen.
• Ability to work safely with focus on quality control.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Rotating roster including weekends and public holidays.
• Grooming standards aligned with 5-star environments.

Talent Profile

Ideally you will have:

• Relevant qualifications/certificates in Cookery (Certificate III or equivalent), HACCP and local Food Safety Handling & Hygiene
• Previous experience as a Commis Chef or Apprentice Chef in a four or five star hotel or a similar fast-paced, kitchen environment
• Ability to work productively and safely at all times with a focus on quality control
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• The flexibility to work on a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays
• The ability to create a positive first impression with an understanding of the importance of 5 star grooming standards
