Job summary

Stratco (Australia) Pty Limited in Adelaide seeks a Commercial Manager to partner with senior leaders across our South Australian and Victorian operations, providing financial insight and strategic analysis to influence decisions and drive profitability.

Reporting to the Group FP&A Manager, you will challenge thinking, develop robust models and business cases, and help shape performance across manufacturing and retail units through actionable insights.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in a Commercial Manager or similar role.
• Strong manufacturing industry experience.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship-building.
• Ability to influence decisions through insight.
• Experience with ERP, BI and performance reporting.

You know the numbers behind a successful manufacturing business, but more importantly, you know how to turn those numbers into action.

We’re looking for a contemporary Commercial Manager to become a trusted advisor to senior leaders across our South Australian and Victorian operations. This is a role where you’ll provide financial insight and strategic analysis, helping influence strategic decisions, and help drive performance across our manufacturing and retail businesses units.

Reporting to the Group FP&A Manager, this is far more than a traditional reporting role. You’ll be expected to challenge thinking, identify opportunities, influence decision-making and contribute to strategic initiatives that drive profitability and growth.

Responsibilities

• Partner with key leaders and help drive commercial performance and business outcomes


• Analyse profitability, revenue, pricing, inventory and cost performance to uncover trends and opportunities


• Develop robust financial models, forecasts, budgets and business cases that support strategic decision making


• Lead commercial analysis on growth opportunities, capital investments and operational improvement initiatives


• Present meaningful insights and recommendations to senior leaders and executive stakeholders


• Translate complex financial information into practical business recommendations that inspire action


• Contribute to the development of medium and long-term commercial strategies


• Prepare high-quality reporting, presentations and board-level insights

About you

Equally comfortable on the factory floor, in operational planning meetings, or presenting to senior executives, you build credibility quickly and influence through insight, not title. You combine strong commercial acumen with a genuine curiosity for how the business operates, and you’re not afraid to challenge thinking, ask the hard questions, or uncover opportunities others may miss.

You’ll likely bring:

• Significant experience in a Commercial Manager, Senior Commercial Analyst, Finance Manager or similar


• Strong manufacturing industry experience


• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship building skills


• The ability to influence decisions through insight rather than authority


• Strong ERP, Business Intelligence and performance reporting experience
