Job summary

Nationwide Group in Queensland is seeking an Area Manager to uphold high cleaning standards across multiple commercial sites. This role involves regular site visits and hands-on support for cleaning teams and contractors to ensure smooth service delivery.

You will lead site inspections, coordinate across teams and maintain WHS compliance while travelling throughout Queensland. A driver licence and willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial cleaning, facilities services or a similar operational role.
• Confidence supporting cleaning teams and coordinating contractors across multiple sites.
• Strong organisation, communication and problem-solving skills.
• A practical, hands-on approach and the ability to work independently.
• A current driver licence and willingness to travel throughout Queensland.

Responsibilities

• Support the Managing Director in maintaining consistent cleaning quality across all sites.
• Oversee cleaners and cleaning contractors, providing guidance and support.
• Conduct regular site inspections and follow up on any issues identified.
• Assist with operational cover when staff shortages arise.
• Monitor cleaning supplies and equipment, and help ensure sites are adequately stocked.

• Communicate effectively with site teams, contractors, clients and management.

This is a hands-on role involving regular site visits, support for cleaning teams and contractors, and practical assistance to keep services running smoothly.
