Job summary

Metcash Limited, Australia’s leading wholesale distributor, is seeking a Commercial Manager in the Food, Services & Convenience team. You will lead analytics, reporting and governance to drive sales, margins and profitability while shaping strategic planning across Campbells, Convenience, Tobacco and Superior Food Services.

Qualifications

• 7+ years’ experience in commercial finance, analytics, strategy or business partnering.
• Strong commercial acumen, financial modelling and advanced Excel/Power BI skills.
• Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and influence senior stakeholders.
• Experience in reporting, governance, business cases and performance improvement.
• A degree in Finance, Commerce or a related discipline; CA/CPA mandatory; Wholesale, Retail, FMCG or Supply Chain experience highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Drive analytics, reporting and insights to identify opportunities to improve sales, margins, profitability and productivity.
• Strengthen reporting and governance with robust controls and data integrity.
• Shape financial models, business cases and assessments to support tenders, contract renewals, investments and growth.
• Deliver forecasts and performance metrics with effective governance for financial and operational outcomes.
• Partner with senior stakeholders across FS&C, Finance and the broader business; deputise for Head of Commercial when required.
