Job summary

Vacvator Pty Ltd in Goulburn, NSW is seeking a motivated CNC Profile Operator to join the manufacturing team. You will operate CNC profile cutting equipment to produce components for vacuum excavation units, reading engineering drawings and ensuring high quality finishes.

Work in a clean, modern facility with Monday–Friday hours and potential overtime. Training may be provided for the right candidate who is eager to learn and contribute to the team.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC profile cutting, plasma cutting or laser cutting machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and measurements.
• Good understanding of manufacturing tolerances and quality requirements.
• Experience working with steel and fabricated components is advantageous.
• Forklift licence is essential; overhead crane experience desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC profile cutting machinery.
• Operate CNC cutting machine in accordance with job requirements.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Clean and prepare parts for fabrication.
• Complete jobs per Vacvator processes and procedures.
• Monitor machinery and report maintenance or operational issues.
• Assist with material handling and movement of steel.
• Collaborate with manufacturing team to meet production deadlines.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area.
• Follow WHS policies and procedures.

Vacvator Pty Ltd is a proudly Australian-owned manufacturer specialising in vacuum excavation trucks, dry vacuum and jetting equipment. As an industry leader, we're growing fast and are looking for a motivated CNC Profile Operator to join our manufacturing team in Goulburn, NSW.

The Role

As a CNC Profile Operator at Vacvator, you'll work hands-on in our clean, modern manufacturing facility operating CNC cutting equipment to produce components used in the manufacture of our vacuum excavation units.

Key Responsibilities

· Set up and operate CNC profile cutting machinery

· Operate CNC cutting machine in accordance with job requirements

· Read and interpret engineering drawings

· Clean and prepare parts ready for fabrication

· Complete jobs in accordance with Vacvator processes and procedures

· Monitor machinery during operation and report maintenance or operational issues

· Assist with material handling and movement of steel as required

· Work collaboratively with the manufacturing team to meet production deadlines

· Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area

· Follow all WHS policies and procedures

What We’re Looking For

Qualifications & Experience

· Previous experience operating CNC profile cutting, plasma cutting, laser cutting or similar machinery highly regarded

· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and measurements

· Good understanding of manufacturing tolerances and quality requirements

· Experience working with steel and fabricated components advantageous

· Strong willingness to work, learn and contribute as part of the manufacturing team

· Forklift licence essential

· Overhead crane experience desirable, but not essential

This role would suit someone with CNC or manufacturing experience who enjoys practical, hands-on work and takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality components.

Training may be provided for the right candidate who is willing to learn.
