Job summary

Real Engineering and Manufacturing Pty Ltd – West Gosford NSW is seeking an experienced CNC Operator to run a variety of CNC machines and contribute to productivity improvements. Ideal candidates will have CNC programming experience and proficiency with lathes and milling operations.

You will read engineering drawings and schematics, set up and adjust machines, and perform routine maintenance to ensure safe, efficient production and high-quality parts.

• Proven experience as a Machinist or in a similar manufacturing role.

Responsibilities

Our manufacturing company is looking for an experienced CNC Operator who can run a variety of CNC machines and help to enhance the productivity of our organisation. Experience necessary with CNC programming, lathe and milling work.

What you'll be doing

Operate a variety of manual and CNC machines (lathes and mills) to manufacture parts and products to precise specifications

Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documents

Set up, adjust, and maintain machines to ensure optimal performance and safety

Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery

Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of new manufacturing techniques

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a Machinist or in a similar manufacturing role, ideally within the Trades & Services industry

Strong working knowledge of manual and CNC machining processes, including milling and turning

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and other technical documentation

Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify and resolve issues

Keen attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work

Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues

Experience using CAD Programs such as Inventor, Fusion360 or Solidworks.
