Job summary

Brisbane Racing Club Limited is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead day-to-day operations at The Gibson venue in Stafford. You will oversee bar, gaming, food & beverage, facilities and events, driving service excellence while ensuring regulatory compliance and commercial performance.

You’ll build and coach a high-performing team, manage rostering and budgets, and champion a culture of exceptional hospitality for members and guests.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in operations management within hospitality or licensed club.
• Proven ability to lead, develop and motivate teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of liquor licensing, gaming compliance and WHS requirements.
• Experience budgeting, stock control and improving operational performance.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to manage challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations across bar, gaming, food & beverage, front‑of‑house and facilities.
• Recruit, train, coach and support team members to maintain service standards.
• Champion outstanding customer service and address feedback or complaints.
• Ensure compliance with liquor licensing, gaming, WHS and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with rostering, budgeting, stock control and cost management.
• Oversee gaming operations, POS, reporting and record-keeping; coordinate events.
